Mystical Forests

Trees
In this way, the tree of life is a symbol of a fresh start on life, positive energy, good health and a bright future. As a symbol of immortality. A tree grows old, yet it bears seeds that contain its very essence and in this way, the tree becomes immortal. As a symbol of growth and strength.

Woods in a dream may also represent fertility, life, renewal and the spiritual aspects of yourself. Being lost in a forest or the woods in a dream may symbolize being lost or confused — you need to trust your instincts to find your way out; or you may be exploring your unconscious to “find yourself”.

Forest

In analytical psychology, the forest represents feminity in the EYES of a young man, an unexplored realm full of the unknown. It stands for the unconscious and its mysteries. The forest has great connection with the symbolism of the mother, it is a place where life thrives

The ancient symbol of the Tree has been found to represent physical and spiritual nourishment, transformation and liberation, union and fertility. … They are seen as powerful symbols of growth and resurrection. In many of folk religions, trees are said to be homes of spirits.

The Forest is often seen as a symbol of the unconscious. It’s used as a metaphor for entering the unknown: “In the middle of our walk of life, I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost”. Transformation is usually part of the story.

It symbolizes going into the unconscious aspects of ourselves to make them conscious. This entry into the dark unknown sides of ourselves is common in most fairy tales and represented by enchanted forests, fierce animals, deep oceans, deserts, wildernesses, and wastelands amongst others.
